“My 9-year old daughter and I had the pleasure of attending Alex’s performance “America: Songs of Patriotism, Pride & Protest” at the Beekman Library, and we absolutely loved every minute. The concert was an engaging, fun, beautiful, and educational experience from start to finish. Alex has such a creative approach, merging various genres and techniques with lessons about history. “Alex Prizgintas’ performance on electric cello was a fun, genre-defying tribute to the 1960s. Reimagining classics from Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and The Who, Alex turned familiar melodies into cinematic soundscapes. His rendition of “With a Little Help from My Friends” was especially fun to hear because the looped layers of cello transformed the song into a stirring, modern elegy. Alex’s technical skills and emotional intensity kept the audience captivated. He didn’t just revisit the ’60s; he transported us into a new sonic dimension. It was a beautiful performance that felt both retro and radical.” Western Sullivan Public Library, Callicoon, NY.

“Alex presented an exceptional program about the history of the dairy industry in Orange County NY. Everyone paid close attention to the well-researched information which told the little known history about the early unhealthy milk production in New York City.  This practice changed when railroad transportation made it possible to bring fresh healthy milk into the city. However, there was much controversy. Alex’s well-organized, interesting photos, power point presentation, and digital information told the entire story for everyone’s enjoyment. Everyone delighted in viewing the large milk bottle collection that Alex brought with him” Town of Deerpark Museum, Huguenot, NY.

He was awesome! His song selection is current and what you’d want to hear. No staid old cello songs for this young man. He loops over himself to create an incredibly full sound. Playing notable rock tunes from decades past like “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”, he layered the sounds of cello with amplified “guitar” pedals to produce a unique take on these iconic songs. He finished the concert with the classic “Blackbird” by The Beatles.
